I've been hearing of Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma since I first stumbled upon booktube. It is a very controversial story that deals with incest. When reading this you almost forget the relation of both characters until it is talked about in the story. Suzuma created a story that both pushes the boundaries but catches the ideals of a tragic love story with simplicity. The story deals with a number of realistic problems. These being parent's divorce, lack of parentage, anxiety, family problems and finding one's self. The realistic aspects made the story just that much more enjoyable. It is a beautifully written love story and is almost poetic. Not once did the story line make me feel uncomfortable. I am not a crier but this book did make me shed quite a few tears. It is exactly a tragic love story with a very powerful love that'll grip you to the end. While I don't do love stories, I definitely love tragic love stories. If you haven't picked this amazing book up yet please do so.
